Before there were organized yoga classes, yoga was taught by one teacher to one student. Ancient yoga masters understood the importance of tailoring each yoga experience to meet the individual needs of the student. Today, a private session allows for a more intimate view into your personal practice. You can start a new practice as a beginner, deepen your practice spiritually and physically, or spend some time working with an injury or condition you may be facing. When you work with a teacher in a one on one setting, the teacher is able to help you experience the benefits of yoga in a safe, effective, and personal way.

Due to its specific nature, Private Yoga is an invaluable tool for yoga students of all levels and experience. Private lessons provide the perfect setting to address your personal goals and work on areas of individual interest. You can work with the teacher of your choice or we can place you with a teacher that will best meet your expressed needs. Private Yoga can help you deepen your yoga practice, gain confidence, answer questions and provide personal guidance. Our teachers can even help you develop a home practice designed to meet your individual needs.

WHY TAKE A PRIVATE CLASS?

For new students
Beginning yoga students may be intimidated by the public yoga class environment. Private classes allow teachers the opportunity to focus on you and your body, the teacher can make sure you are getting off to a strong start in your practice by helping you with safe and proper alignment. Private yoga instruction helps you to learn basic skills which allow you to easily integrate into our daily group classes.

For more experienced students
Experienced students benefit from private sessions as well. As an experienced yogi, you are able to have a deeper insight into specific postures or specific styles of yoga that interest you. Our teachers can help you with posture alignment, challenging postures that you may be stumped on, modifications that can further your practice and keep you pain free, and they can help you establish a balanced home practice. Private yoga classes can also provide the experienced student time to learn about yoga philosophy, meditation, and breathing practices.
